Today we are going to be creating “Pull String Art.” We will only be using a few supplies that you most likely already have on hand. Let’s get started!
- sketchbook or white card stock folded in half
- thin string
- watered down acrylic/kids paint 1:1 ratio
- small bowl
- paper towels
First you want to mix your paint and water into a small bowl. We used 1 TBS paint & 1 TBS water.
Next, dip your string into the bowl, use a spoon to completely saturate the string (except for the 1 in you are holding in your hand). Pull out the string & dab onto a paper towel. The trick here is to not have paint dripping off your string. You want it to look pretty dry.
Next, lay the string on one half of your folded card stock, in a loopy swirly pattern, having about 1 in or so hanging off the bottom edge of the paper.
Fold your card stock back in half, press your hand on top, and pull the string straight out of the bottom and voila! Repeat as many times as you want!
