Only 1 more week of Summer Crafting with Beth 2017.  We hope you’ve been having fun crafting along with us this summer!

Today we are going to be creating Salt Art.  We will only be using a few supplies and most likely you will already have them on hand!  Let’s get started.

Supplies

  • white paper
  • glue
  • salt
  • cookie sheet
  • watercolors
  • paintbrush

First you want to draw out your designs on the paper.  Squiggles, initials, portrait of your cat…..whatever you want.  Pour the salt all over your glue.  The cookie sheet is great for collecting all the excess salt and reusing it for another painting.

After it’s dry, start painting your salt with your watercolors.  Try not to use too much water or you’ll “melt” your salt.

Check out our finished salt art designs on Instagram.  Use #SCWBeth2017 or #primepestga to tag us in your photos.

Happy Crafting and we will see you back here next week for Week 8 – Coffee Filter Art!
